  • Kevin Hartley | TransplantLife

Kevin Hartley Ashland City, TN Team Tennessee Donor Services August 30, 1995 - April 28, 2017 Kevin is 'Da Bomb! Growing up, Kevin was known as the little blonde-headed boy. Now, he is known as the handsome one of the group by his friends but he never knew that he was. He is always fun, outgoing, and a pleasure to be around. He is a jokester and makes everyone laugh. He loves eating good home-cooked food and lots of it. He always has a beautiful smile on his face, lights up the room, and puts a smile on everyone else's face. Kevin is the nicest, most respectful, and most humble person any of us have ever known. He was loved by everyone and loves everyone except Lebron James. Kevin loves sports; he played soccer growing up and transitioned to playing football in middle and high school. He also loves animals; his cat, Batman, and his golden retriever, Chevelle, love him so much. Kevin loves playing video games and hanging out with friends and family. He could always be found playing with the younger kids at friends' and family's homes, whether it was lying around on the floor or playing ball outside in the grass. Kevin loves joking around with everyone. He works with his dad, uncle, and brother and often jokes around that they aren't working hard enough. He jokes that one day he will own the family business and supervise everyone to make sure they are working hard. Kevin has a strong work ethic and is excited to work with his family every day. He loves learning new things and being able to become the best at them. Although he doesn't brag about his performance, he is just happy to help anyone. He has even been known to see a homeless person and stop to buy them and their dog food. Kevin is a wonderful person and will be missed by all his friends and family. We are so happy he has the opportunity to continue to bless the lives of so many, as he always has.

  • Jordan Daus | TransplantLife

Jordan Daus Chagrin Falls, OH Team Ohio September 09, 1996 - November 13, 2014 Free Spirit My daughter Jordan Lynne passed away on November 13th 2014, due to complications from an accidental overdose; the lives of those that loved her were forever changed on that day! Jordan was just eighteen years old and recently graduated from Kenston High School. Jordan was in a recovery program for adolescent chemical dependency at New Directions, and she was looking forward to beginning college majoring in psychology at Kent State. She was extremely passionate about becoming a counselor and hoping to help others that were facing the same challenges that she would have overcome, in hopes of changing their lives for the better. Unfortunately, Jordan had a difficult journey ahead of her and she lost her battle with addiction, overdosing at home on Monday evening, November 10th, 2014. When Jordan was in the ICU at Ahuja, it was apparent early on that she would not fully recover from this injury and at that time I asked her doctors if she could potentially donate her organs, should she not survive as we knew this was Jordan’s wish. Jordan was not a registered donor, (she did not have a drivers license – until she was 1 year sober) but we had several conversations about her wishes to be a donor. As a former assistant to a heart transplant surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic, we often had conversations at home about what an amazing gift organ donation is and how the lives of others could go on when our time has passed. Jordan was always looking for ways in which she could help others and this was one of her wishes. On December 26th the day after Christmas, we received a letter from Lifebanc providing information about the recipients of Jordan’s organs, four men had been given a second chance at life because of Jordan’s generous gifts. Jordan was able to donate her heart, liver, pancreas, right kidney.

  • James Anthony Worley | TransplantLife

James Anthony Worley Glendora, CA Team Nevada September 09, 1976 - September 08, 2008 THANK YOU FOR SAYING YES! My heart donor James Anthony Worley, aka Tony was a 32 year old husband and father of a 3 week old baby girl. I was told he was fun loving, friendly, kind and generous; he was the glue that kept the family together. On September 7, 2008 Tony and his family went out to celebrate his upcoming birthday. After dinner the family returned home to continue the celebration. Someone showed up who was not invited and Tony asked him to leave. The guy took offense and punched Tony; he fell and hit his head on the concrete and never regained consciousness. On September 8th the doctors pronounced him brain dead. The family made the difficult decision to have him removed from life support and donate his organs. On September 9th which was Tony's birthday I received his heart. This September 9th will be nine years and I have had no infection or rejection, which made Tony a "Perfect Match" for me! I will be eternally grateful to my Donor Family for saying YES to organ donation!❤️

  • Chad Radvansky | TransplantLife

Chad Radvansky Lugoff, SC Team South Carolina October 08, 1985 - September 06, 2003 Chad Radvansky's Legacy Chad was a handsome young man with an engaging smile. He loved sports and participated in baseball, basketball, snowboarding, soccer and competitive swimming. He was involved in church youth activities and scouts, an honor student and played trumpet in the band. Born on our 3rd anniversary, he was truly a gift as the oldest of four children. In addition to his parents, he left behind a brother, Denis, and two sisters, Megan and Dawn. He had a quick wit and found humor in most situations. He was quick to smile and slow to anger. Chad was humble about his many accomplishments and preferred the background to the spotlight. Many times, we would find him quietly sitting in the room listening to the adults instead of outside playing with the children. He was loyal to his friends and would not participate in or listen to gossip. What we miss most of all is his laughter and ability to make us smile. As he got older, Chad was less willing to hug but would put his arm around my neck and pretend to wrestle me to the ground. I knew this was his way of showing affection without losing his "cool factor." He was a 2003 graduate of Lugoff-Elgin High School and a freshman at Coastal Carolina University. The summer after graduation, he was building a house in Myrtle Beach with his dad and uncle. He was so proud of the work he had put into it and was looking forward to moving into his new home in only a couple of weeks. When Chad got his driver's licence at age 15, I asked him if he wanted to be an organ donor. Without hesitation, he said yes and added, "If I die, I would offer anything to anyone if it saved or improved their life." Because this was his desire, we never had to make that decision during the most difficult time of our lives. Chad lost his life because of a few poor choices and inexperience behind the wheel while making the familiar drive home. Without Chad, his birthdays and our anniversaries will never be the same. Chad was kind, considerate and lived life to the fullest. Even as a teenager, he was always respectful and made us proud. His death has left an emptiness that can never be filled, but he has touched the lives of many who will never be the same.

  • Christopher Spitzer | TransplantLife

Christopher Spitzer Merrimac, WI Team Wisconsin March 02, 1972 - August 16, 2016 Forever A Hero! "What can I do to help you?", Chris would ask you. "I was a 44 year old supportive husband and loving father of 2 beautiful little girls. I became passionate for organ donation a long time ago when I learned of my best friend being a living donor to his sister. I then became an advocate for several years after supporting my wife during many tragic losses. Two years ago, I went to the Transplant Games of America to honor and celebrate the life of my wife's mother. Not long after the games, I kissed my wife goodbye and went to work. Suddenly I collapsed from a heart attack and was unable to be resuscitated. Now I leave behind my family legacies and my donor legacies." As a proud wife, I can honestly thank him for teaching me to live each day as it is my last and to help the ones I can!
