My heart donor James Anthony Worley, aka Tony was a 32 year old husband and father of a 3 week old baby girl. I was told he was fun loving, friendly, kind and  generous; he was the glue that kept the family together.

On September 7, 2008 Tony and his family went out to celebrate his upcoming birthday. After dinner the family returned home to continue the celebration. Someone showed up who was not invited and Tony asked him to leave. The guy took offense and punched Tony; he fell and hit his head on the concrete and never regained consciousness. On September 8th the doctors pronounced him brain dead. The family made the difficult decision to have him removed from life support and donate his organs. On September 9th which was Tony's 
birthday I received his heart.

This September 9th will be nine years and I have had no infection or rejection, which made Tony a "Perfect Match" for me! I will be eternally grateful to my Donor Family for saying YES to organ donation!❤️
