On January 21, 2012, while on the way to his Ursinus College wrestling teammate and fellow alum Jordan's funeral, Daniel, was in a severe motor vehicle accident, He sustained severe brain trauma and died nine days later on Jan.30. His Little League coach Ed, who we had known since Danny was four was in desperate need of a liver. Danny's was a perfect match. A miracle. I am a bone marrow transplant recipient myself, so my family understands how amazing this was. His other organs, tissue and eyes were also recovered. Danny loved to live life.
