Amber was a perfectly healthy 16 year old girl who collapsed on her way into work, with a seizure. Then her heart stopped. Amber played volleyball, track, bowled and loved hanging out with her boyfriend, family and friends. She was upbeat, fun and truly enjoyed and loved life.  She was the last in the nest; She looked forward to either going to college or joining the military like her older brother and sister.

She didn't know a stranger, could burp louder than anyone I know!  I am still amazed at how many people she touched in her short life.  She is missed so much every day.  She would be happy knowing she had helped others lives by donating her organs.  I never talked to her about organ donation because who really believes that you are ever going to lose your child?  When we came home from Children's Hospital in St. Louis after she had passed, there was a Donate Life bracelet in her ponytail holder jar.  I believe in signs, I've had so many from her.
